Welcome from the Program Director

I sincerely appreciate your interest in our Ph.D. Program in Clinical Medical Psychology. Because it is based in the Mercer School of Medicine, our program offers students unique opportunities to work and train alongside physicians and allied health professionals in an integrated approach to healthcare. We have an accomplished faculty with clinical/research interests and expertise as diverse as the clinical populations we serve.

After spending over 25 years in doctoral level psychology teaching and internship training prior to my arrival here, I find that the traditions of Mercer University fit perfectly with my primary objective in educating and training psychologists. That objective is to train psychologists as practitioners, clinical researchers, and educators who reflect the Mercer traditions of liberal learning, professional knowledge, discovery, service to mankind, and community. The Clinical Medical Psychology faculty and I invite you to join us in pursuing that objective.
