Summer Programs

Mercer University School of Medicine’s American Medical College Application Service (AMCAS) Prep Course is designed to improve the application of disadvantaged students, to medical school, who are interested in applying to an Early Decision program, within the state of Georgia, for the entering class of 2013.

This intense fulltime residential program will be held on the Macon Campus. To maximize the experience, participants may not enroll in summer courses, work or attend other summer programs during the duration of the prep course.

During the Mercer University School of Medicine American Medical College Application Service (AMCAS) prep course participants will complete the AMCAS application, including writing the personal statement, practice interviewing and have a medical student and faculty mentorship experience. All lodging, supplies, food and transportation within Macon will be provided.

For more information and to receive application materials please contact Leslie Jackson at (478) 301-5425 or by email Jackson_ls@mercer.edu.

“I learned so much about AMCAS, the application process and what MUSM’s Admissions Committee is looking for in an applicant. Now feel more confident about my application!”

NOTE: This program is for Georgia residents only, who have completed or are in the process of completing a baccalaureate degree in an accredited college or university. Only those who are on the track to applying to a Doctor of Medicine program for the 2013 entering class will be considered for acceptance into the prep course.
